We finalized our Application Letter to the Ministry of Women’s and Children’s Affairs in Ethiopia last night. We sent if off to Laurel for approval and then sent a copy to Stacie for use in the writing of our home study report. In the letter, we requested a sibling group or two unrelated children. So we can officially look to the future, if it is the Lord’s will, with the knowledge that we will soon be a family of 7!
Wow!
We feel such a peace about this decision…even though it sounds quite daunting. I know our life will be a little crazy, but crazy can be good, right? We are doing our best to build our house on a firm foundation, with God at the center, a lot of love, schedules and flexibility, a sense of humor, and an absolute dependance on the Lord for every, every, everything. We have felt His leading and provision through every step of this journey. This is no different and we are so excited about bringing our children to the home God has ordained for them!
But, this causes some significant changes to our adoption fee schedules. More on that later….
And, I am wondering if it is even possible to fit 5 car seats into our outdated Dodge Caravan. More on that later….
Plus, no news from USCIS even though 2 business days have officially past. I’ll try again next week. More on that later….
