Color-Blind vs. Color-Blessed

By Hutchinson Family

I have been reading a lot about racial issues and have realized how wrong I was in so much of my thinking. As a member of the more prominate race in America, I was completely minimizing the true effects of racism. There are many, many things that I will never experience, nor can I ever experience, that my children will have to face. This presents another unique challenge in parenting!

I found this link to a post from another blog. I enjoyed reading it, thought you might as well.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. -Martin Luther King, Jr.
